    What is the Iraq Moratorium?

The Iraq Moratorium is a community- based nationwide campaign to organize public displays of opposition to the war in Iraq on the third Friday of each month.

We care deeply about all people of this country. Many are without their basic needs of health care, housing, food, and educational opportunities.

While billions of our tax dollars are poured into destructive military policies overseas, with Iraq as the most vivid example and perhaps Iran in the near future. It is important that we build a broad and focused movement to stand for fairness and justice in meeting every person's basic human needs.

Today, we have a choice between military adventures and a fundamental human right to meet human needs. We stand with the latter in the name of justice here at home and peace in our communities and around the world.
